don’t stop Dancing Wheels

GPAC’s
2003-2004 Broadway and More Series presents Dancing Wheels on Wednesday,
Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.
Tickets for
the show are $20-$22 for adults and $10 for children and students.
The full-length
concert features both classical and contemporary music, illustrating
the elegance and diversity of dance.
A suite of music
features film tracks from famous Burt Bacharach songs including:
“Always Something There to Remind Me,” “What Do
You Get When You Fall in Love?,” “What’s New Pussycat?,”
“Alfie” and more.
Dancing Wheels
brings back the romance and joy of the early 1970s. It is best described
as one of the most moving and inspirational performances you will
ever experience on the stage.
Dancing Wheels is one of the nation’s premier modern dance
companies that integrates professional stand-up and sit-down (wheelchairs)
dancers. These dancers don’t let their physical disabilities
stop them from doing what they love.
The performers
have captivated audiences worldwide with their exquisite artistry
and have helped to expand the scope of artistic possibilities in
a way that is truly unique and entertaining for all.
The production
has taught and inspired children and adults of all abilities around
the world.
Dancing Wheels has been featured in numerous national publications
and television programs including ABC’s television special
Christopher Reeve: A Celebration of Hope, CBS’s Sunday Morning,
and ABC’s Good Morning America.
Even Christopher
Reeve was moved by this breathtaking performance.
“Dancing
Wheels is proof that the possibilities are endless,” Reeve
said in a review of the show.
