With a week until Halloween, 53 students got a scare early from a trip to Scarowinds on Oct 24.

“I was chased by a mummy on stilts, chased by a chainsaw, and scared to death in one of the haunted houses called The Dead Inn. After that, I quit with the scary attractions,” freshman Amber Jordan said.

“The parts that I liked best were the costumes and the decorations. You could tell that they took their time with the major details,” senior Jessica Terry said.

This was the first off campus trip of the year for the organization.

“Alot of people have been to Carowinds but not alot have been to Scarowinds. I wanted the student body to have a chance to experience it,” ACE’s Alex Watson said.
