The Lumberton 300 National Truck and Tractor Pull took place Sept. 8 and Sept. 9 at the Robeson County Fairgrounds.

Different tractors including super farm tractors, mini modified tractors, super stocked tractors, four-wheel drive trucks and two-wheel drive trucks could be seen at the event.

The event had hundreds of people in attendance who were eager to see what modified tractor would come out next.

The crowd was stunned to see how far the different tractors could pull.  Despite the excruciating noise of the tractors and the overwhelming exhaust the tractors gave off, the crowd still enjoyed every moment of the event.

From the audience’s perspective, there were many excited and interested looks on people’s faces.

They saw the many tractors that had different designs and extra modifications added on to it, which showed how much time and effort each driver and his team had put into their tractor.

The Robeson County Fireman’s Association and Eagle Distributing held the event.

One of the sponsors included was Jerry Johnson Chevrolet of Lumberton.

The Tractor Pull organization is on a tour that can be seen in many states other than North Carolina, such as South Carolina, Virginia and Ohio.
