The Association for Campus Entertainment hosted their semi-annual late night bash on Nov. 16 in the University Center Annex.
It began with the showing of the movie “Shrek the Third” at 7 p.m., and the games began at 9 p.m. and ended at 1 a.m.
Students were lined up to get their caricatures drawn, their faces painted and some were playing games such as Connect Four, Guess Who and Twister. There was also a table of finger foods and snacks prepared in the middle of the room.
Many students were just there to spend time with their friends and enjoy the laid back atmosphere.
“I won’t see some of these people until next semester,” junior Avery Loflin said.
“But for now, I can chill and get my mind off of finals coming up in a few weeks,” Loflin continued.
ACE planned this event at least three weeks ago, adding the last details to the event at Monday night’s meeting, said ACE member Jessica Terry.
The purpose was to bring people together for one last event before the holiday break, according to Terry.
She added that the bash was a major success.
“This is a great turnout,” Terry said. “There must be 200 people here.” |
