New display in A.D. Gallery shows potential of digital art and design By Lesley CovingtonStaff Writer Some people in the art world might consider media art as the new kid on the block. Dr. John Labadie of the Department of Art is one of those people. Dr. Labadie currently has several of his digital artwork on display in the A.D. gallery located in Locklear Hall.
Dr. Labadie, associate professor in the Department of Art, uses this relatively new art form, according to Dr. Richard Gay, gallery director and assistant professor in the department of art. He also said many students majoring in art have concentrations in digital art. “Dr. John Labadie shows invention and experimentation in his work that will be interesting to faculty and students in science and across disciplines,” said Art Department Chair and Associate Professor Janette Hopper. |
