Men don dresses and heels for a good cause

Nine male students traded in their shorts for skirts and sported eyeliner for the Miss Backwards Pageant 2006 on March 1.
The entry fee for the event was $2, with all of the money going to the Robbie Paige Memorial Foundation to help terminally ill children, according to emcee Robyn Baker.

The event raised about $200.
The Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority sponsored the event.
Member Collette Pond organized the event.
Each contestant displayed a talent, modeled swimwear and evening wear, and answered a question from the judges.
The winning contestant, whose stage name was Paulina, sang the song made popular by Whitney Houston, "I Will Always Love You.”
During the question and answer portion, the judge asked the first runner up Bambi, "What do you think about men with big feet?" The contestant answered, "I believe in world peace. That is my final answer."
Other awards were the Ugliest Woman Award, Best Legs, Best Talent and Most Encouraging.
Talents included giving a lap dance, teaching the audience how to fix a tire and tying a cherry stem into a knot.
The judges for the contest were Miss UNCP Jorgiana Martin, Jimmy Parker, Travais Avery and James Flowers.
