Pembroke Magazine number 6 (1975) includes
work by Archibald MacLeish, Dudley Fitts, MacDiarmid, Vernon Watkins, Charles
Olson, and Rakosi. Miriam Patchen includes a memory piece — "Of Human
Warmth and Love: Kenneth Patchen ." In keeping with Pembroke Magazine's
international scope, the editor published work by the Gaelic poet Sorley Maclean.
And North Carolina's rich heritage is rendered by native North Carolinians Jonathan
Daniels, Heather Ross Miller, and James Applewhite. Macleod includes more
of his memoirs. A section called "Literary Intelligence" becomes a mainstay
with this issue and includes seventeen letters from William CarlosWilliams to
Macleod. the letters are dated between 1935 and 1956.
