Transfer orientation

To determine if you are a transfer tester or transfer non-tester, read the selection and click the appropriate link.

Transfer Tester [Spring | Summer (CLOSED)]

• Students having 0 – 15 transferable hours need placement test(s) in speech and math (or transferable credit), and *composition (or transferable credit).
• Students having 16 – 29 transferable hours need placement test(s) in math (or transferable credit), and *composition (or transferable credit).

*Transfer students with 29 transferable hours or less without a composition, will be placed into ENG 1040 and take the placement test the first day of class. If they pass, they will be placed into ENG 1050.

Transfer Non-tester [Spring | Summer (CLOSED)]

• Students having 30 or more transferable hours do not need placement test(s). (If they do not have a math or composition, the student and their advisor will determine which classes to register for in these subjects.)
