mission STATEMENT

The Office of New Student and Family Orientation is committed to providing programs that will ease the transition of our new students and their family members to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. At every event we strive to make new students and their family members feel welcome and appreciated, while promoting their excitement of attending this University.

We feel that by participating in New Student Orientation, students will be better prepared to begin their academic careers at UNC Pembroke. During our events, students will have an opportunity to meet and interact with faculty, staff, Orientation Leaders and other incoming students. Our programs are designed to address a variety of academic and social needs through placement tests, advisement, registration and the Experiencing a "Brave" New World Program.

Our goal is to serve students and their family members and enable them to be successful at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
