1. If you are a student with a disability and are requesting accommodations for placement testing, please contact Disability Support Services (DSS) at 910.521.6695. Failure to schedule accomodations for placement testing at least two weeks in advance may lead to DSS denying the requested time and date for the placement test accomodations. DSS will make every effort to accomodate students in a timely and reasonable manner.
2. UNC Pembroke accepts a variety of College Level Examination Program (CLEP) credits. A complete list of accepted credits can be viewed in the current edition of the UNCP catalog. Information may be obtained from high school counselors or the College Board, 800.257.9558, or CLEP, PO Box 6600, Princeton NJ 08541-6600; or email clep@info.collegeboard.org.
3. The Math Placement Test allows for the use of any type of personal handheld calculator; however, the use of a calculator is not essential to successful testing.
4. Campus housing will not be available during the placement testing sessions, with the exception of Session VI. Residential students taking the placement tests during this session will be able to move into their assigned rooms on Saturday, August 16. Housing will not be available for commuters during Experiencing a "Brave" New World Program.
5. AMS Tuition Payment Plan is a monthly installment tuition payment plan for tuition, fees, room, board and health insurance only. The plan requires a small enrollment fee. You can receive information regarding this plan by visiting Student Accounts or by calling them at 800-949-8627.
