Dear Family Member:

Whether you are a parent or spouse of a first-time freshman or transfer student, Family Orientation at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is for you. You and your family member have reached a major milestone in life and you both are to be congratulated. Having selected The University of North Carolina at Pembroke as a place to support your family member as they continue their education is a wise choice. UNCP is a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Through your participation in Family Orientation, you will have the opportunity to help your family member get the best start possible as a student at UNCP. We are highly committed to student success but there is a very important supporting role you play in this success. Please accept this as a personal invitation to attend Family Orientation. We have a program designed to meet the needs of parents of first-time freshman as well as family members of our non-traditional freshman and transfer students. Family orientation sessions will be scheduled concurrently with the first five registration sessions only. Students registering for classes on August 18, 2008 must pay all costs by 5:00 pm on August 19, 2008.

Great care has gone into planning a program that will allow you a chance to get your questions answered. Join us for one of the Family Orientation sessions this summer.
