Dear Family Member:

You and your family member have reached a major milestone in life and you both are to be congratulated. Having selected The University of North Carolina at Pembroke as a place to support your family member to continue their education is a wise choice. As an alumnus, with a child who also graduated from UNC Pembroke, and a member of the university community for many years, I can attest to the quality of education available for students. UNCP is a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Through your participation in Family Orientation, you will have the opportunity to help your family member get the best start possible as a student at UNCP. We are highly committed to student success but there is a very important supporting role you play in this success. Please accept this as a personal invitation to attend Family Orientation. Your family member will receive registration information. Be certain that you follow-up and let us know if you will be attending. We have a program designed to meet the needs of parents of first-time freshman as well as family members of our non-traditional freshman and transfer students. Please be advised that students registering for classes on January 5, 2008 must pay all costs by 5:00 pm that day.
