The Bobcats scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning when leadoff hitter Kristen Brooks was driven in after being hit by a pitch. The Lady Braves answered in the top of the second inning when Toni Nelson, Morgan Davis and Karlee Wilson contributed runs.

The Bobcats took control of the game in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI double and a grand slam to take a 7-3 lead.
