The UNCP football team blanked Limestone 26-0 on Nov. 15 in their final game of the season.

The Black and Gold grabbed an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter.

Connor Haskins hit the first of his four field goals on the day, and Seth Owen connected with Michael Isbell on a 36-yard touchdown pass.

The Isbell touchdown came on the first play of the drive after L.J. Stroman returned a punt 39-yards to give UNCP good field position.

Haskins added another field goal in the second, third and fourth quarters. His longest on the day was from 40 yards.

The final score in the game came on a 14-yard run by Tamari White.

White had 40 yards on six carries in the game.

Owen and Reggie Pinner split time once again, but Owen got the majority of the snaps.

Owen completed 11 passes on 20 attempts for 168 yards.

Pinner went five for eight for 61 yards.

The Braves’ defense had a strong performance as they held Limestone to just 160 yards of total offense.

They also forced four turnovers, three of which were interceptions.

The offense produced their season-high for yards with 424.

They ran the ball for 195 yards on 46 carries. This helped them control the game.

The Black and Gold ended up winning the time of possession battle by over 10 minutes.

Rontonio Stanley was a dual threat out of the backfield as he ran for 76 yards and also caught four passes for another 61 yards.

Stroman once again had an impressive day returning punts.

He returned five punts for 111 yards, giving him an average return of 22 yards.
