The UNCP men’s soccer team played its last game of the season on Nov. 4 when they fell 2-1 to USC Aiken in the PBC tournament quarterfinal match.

Senior Kevin Vigebo got the Braves on the board first with an early goal.

He sent in a header in the 13th minute off an assist from Ricky Chavez.

USC Aiken had both their goals scored in a 12 minute window.

The first one came in the 30th minute to tie the game up, and the second came in the 42 minute to give them the lead which held until the end.

Andre Simmond scored both of the goals.

The first goal came off a rebound while the second was on a free kick.

Neither goal was assisted.

Despite the three goals being scored, the offenses didn’t get too many looks on either side.

The teams combined for seven shots. USC Aiken took five, and UNCP took two.

Vigebo took both of the shots by the Braves.

USC Aiken had four players take shots, and Simmond was the only who took more than one.

It was a physical game with 31 total fouls called and three yellow cards issued.    All three yellow cards were given to UNCP players.
