Cinderella at GPAC Feb 20
“Cinderella The Broadway Musical” is on the 2018-19 season lineup at Givens Performing Arts Center

The Givens Performing Arts Center will open the 2018-2019 show season with two performances The Three Musketeers on Sept. 20-21.

The season lineup also features the world-premiere of an original musical written by Lumberton’s Mark Andersen, an Eagles tribute band, and the Broadway musical production of Cinderella.

“We’ve got music concerts, symphony orchestras, magic, Broadway, Motown and more all wrapped into this year’s package. We are especially happy to be presenting two completely original productions this year that will be available nowhere else,” said James Bass, executive director of GPAC.

The Three Musketeers will be produced at GPAC, using professional actors from New York City, and will be available as a school matinee, as well as two mainstage performances.

“This is the second time GPAC has presented its artist-in-residence program where professional actors come to GPAC and work with us. And Comte Dracula is going to be unique because it’s going to make its world debut at GPAC before moving on to the New York Opera.”

“Last year was one of our biggest seasons yet, and we’re hoping to take it further this year with our diverse series of performing arts events,” said Bass.
