Office of Distance Education UNC Pembroke offers seven undergraduate online degree completion programs and three graduate online degree programs. UNC Pembroke offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as stand-alone classes via distance learning at several select off-campus locations throughout North Carolina. In addition to coordinating proctoring, the Office of Distance Education is responsible for all articulation agreements with the community and junior colleges. Whether a student chooses to pursue a degree online or at one of our off-campus locations, the Office of Distance Education is here to make sure distance learners have access to the same high quality educational experience as on-campus learners.
Military Outreach Whether active duty, National Guard or Reserve, a veteran or family member, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke is committed to assisting all military-affiliated students in their pursuit of higher education. The UNCP Office of Military Outreach facilitates communication and support for our military-affiliated students to include connecting students with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the North Carolina Division of Veterans Affairs (NCDVA).
Office for Regional Initiatives The Office for Regional Initiatives (ORI) is located off-campus at the Carolina Commerce and Technology Center (COMTech) on Livermore Drive in Pembroke, NC. Established in 1997, the mission of the ORI is to foster regional collaborations, enhance business development, and empower communities for quality of life betterment in southeastern North Carolina. The ORI addresses the diverse needs of the region through initiatives to increase resources, establish networks, and provide training. Additionallu, the ORI provides outreach services to the citizens, businesses, governments and nonprofit organizations throughout the region.
Literacy Commons The Literacy Commons is a community/university partnership dedicated to enriching and enhancing literacy in the UNC Pembroke service area through voluntarism, tutoring, and publication. Through participant-centered classes and workshops, individualized tutoring, and inspiring and enriching community events and collaborations, The Literacy Commons fosters, advances, and sustains the development and continuation of literacy.
