The university wants every student to be able to work successfully toward graduation. We will provide equal access to school programs and extracurricular activities to students who might be, are or have been pregnant or are adopting. The university will provide services to pregnant students as they would to other students who have temporary medical conditions. In compliance with Title IX, the university will not discriminate between soon-to-be moms and soon-to-be dads. As such, all interim measures will be provided to both students.
As with disability accommodations, information about pregnant students’ requests for interim measures will be shared with faculty and staff only to the extent necessary to provide the reasonable interim measure. Faculty and staff will regard all information associated with such requests as private and will not disclose this information unless necessary.
Please be advised that to receive interim measures for pregnant and parenting issues, medical documentation will need to be submitted to the Title IX Coordinator. Administrative responsibility for these interim measures lies with the Title IX Coordinator, who will maintain all appropriate documentation.
