The Bridges program is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded program seeking motivated and dedicated minority students interested in the biomedical sciences who want to continue their education from community colleges to 4-year universities to pursue the baccalaureate degree, with intentions to continue to the Ph.D.

Developing Future Scientists in Rural North Carolina Community Colleges

The mission of the NIH Bridges Program is to increase the number of minority students earning baccalaureate degrees and advanced degrees in biomedical sciences by exposing and engaging students to biomedical fields and biomedical research.
