The opening of fall is the perfect time to report on the state of the university….and that is my purpose today. It is a time when we can look back on what we’ve accomplished and evaluate ourselves against those achievements and ask whether we are prepared for future challenges. It is a time when we can inform the campus about our plans for the coming year.
