It's official! Enrollment at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke has broken all-time enrollment records in consecutive years.

Total enrollment for the fall semester is 3,932, up 15.6 percent over last year and up 32 percent in two years.

Freshmen weighed in at the high end of early estimates with 700, up 21 percent Fall 2001 freshman enrollment compares with 579 last year, which was also a record.

AurochsFor the first time, students at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke crafted and published their own collection of poetry. The 52-page volume, named The Aurochs, features topics from the joys of motherhood to migraines.

With flamboyance and charm, Erin Brockovich captivated an audience of 1,200 Thursday at the Givens Performing Arts Center on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

She was the first guest of the university's 2001-2002 Distinguished Speaker Series.
