UNC Pembroke’s RN-to-BSN program has been ranked fifth among Southern colleges and universities by Best Value Schools, an online rating service. The RN-BSN program is for registered nurses with an associate degree or diploma who desire to earn the baccalaureate nursing degree.

UNC Pembroke’s faculty athletics representative Dr. Jeff Frederick, who is an associate professor in the History Department, has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference’s nominee for the NCAA’s Dr. Dave Pariser Faculty Mentor Award, the league office announced on September 25.
Ronette Sutton Gerber has been appointed UNC Pembroke’s director of Title IX and Clery Compliance effective September 8. She previously served as associate general counsel for the university.
For most college freshmen, graduate school and careers are a distant dream. But the future is now for UNC Pembroke’s Early Assurance Program (EAP) Scholars, who enter college already accepted to East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine.
Mikala Lowry is UNCP’s sixth EAP Scholar. It is a four-year scholarship that comes with medical school admission. High expectations come with steep requirements, but these talented students are up to the challenge.
FABRICation, an exhibit of textile art, went on display at UNC Pembroke’s A.D. Gallery on September 22 and will run through October 31. The opening reception and gallery talk by artist Virginia Derryberry will be held on Monday, October 6, 3 – 4:30 p.m.
