Young violinist wins regional competition

Osbourne-Quinnett recently won a $1,000 prize in a regional competition
sponsored by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
A Fayetteville resident, Osbourne-Quinnett is a dual enrolled student
at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and studies violin under
Yura Teodor Alexov. She won the District Six, North and South Carolina,
competition and will compete for national honors in St. Louis, Mo.,
in July at Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's Grand Enclave.
Osbourne-Quinnett won the Miriam Hayes Young Artist Competition at
Appalachian State University and the UNCP Concerto Competition. She
plays with the Robeson and Fayetteville Symphonies and has played at
numerous special events.
