Marilyn Blackburn
Promoted to Assistant Registrar
Marilyn
Blackburn has been promoted to the position of Assistant Registrar.
She is a 22-year
UNCP staff member. She worked for 16 years in the Office of Continuing
Education and Distance Education, and she has also worked in University
Computing and most recently in the Office of Academic
Affairs.
Ms. Blackburn is
a 2001 UNCP graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. She
is a resident of St. Pauls.
Her new duties will
include general supervision of all aspects of the Office of the Registrar.
She reports to Sara Brackin.
"This is well
deserved, and I am confident that this is a good fit for Marilyn and
our office," said Ms. Brackin.
Ms. Blackburn said
she is looking forward to the new challenges.
"This is a
great office, and I am looking forward to the new career challenges
and working in this environment," Ms Blackburn said.
The Office of the
Registrar is responsible for registration of students and maintenance
of student records.
