Dr. David Kuo Killed in Traffic Accident

The university community is saddened by the loss of retired faculty member Dr. David K. Kuo. He was killed in a car-related mishap Saturday, Jan. 5 in Cary, where he lived with his wife Dr. Elizabeth Kuo.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Cary Funeral Home, 3700 NW Cary Parkway. Visitation will be after the service.

A native of Taiwan, Dr. Kuo taught in the Biology Department at UNCP from 1966-96. Elizabeth taught geography at UNCP for 29 years.

He received his undergraduate education at the National University of Taiwan and received his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia.
