Wrestling Defeats Ferrum and Anderson

UNCP came into the matchup ranked No. 20 in the nation and showed exactly why in a 31-13 ousting of Ferrum and a defeat of Anderson, 31-11, on Feb. 7.
The Braves were led by senior leaders Daniel Ownbey and Juan Stimpson.
Ownbey a defending national champion is one of the best in the country, he picked up two wins and a technical fall for the Braves.
Stimpson also picked up two wins as well, even scoring a pair of pins for the braves.
It was a great team win and everyone played apart in the dominate victory.
Stuart Nadeau pinned Austin Prince in the meet against Anderson. He did not compete against Ferrum.
Brown lost a majority decision against Robert Cunningham in the meet with Ferrum.
Terrance Zaleski won both of his matches on the day. He won his match against Adam Fitzwater of Ferrum by technical fall, and he defeated Tre’vontay Rhodes of Anderson by decision.
Mikey Thomas won both of his matches as well. He won one by majority decision and one by decision.
With the two wins the Braves move to 12-3 on the season and are currently on a six game win streak at home.
Hayden Fry picked up two wins on the day. Fry earned a decision win over each of his opponents.
UNCP dropped the Pounds matchup in each of the two meets. They also lost the 133-pound matches in each meet.
