Two baseball Braves earn All-American status

Jordan Edgerton and Daniel Fraga were given All-American honors on May 22 as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) named Fraga second team All-American and Edgerton was listed as an honorable mention.
Edgerton, fielding a ball in the photo, has been selected to the team in two straight years. Last season he was nominated to three All-American teams.
Edgerton played in 51 games this season. He hit for an average of .369 while blasting 11 home runs. In the 51 games he played Edgerton racked up 58 RBIs and scored 59 runs.
The selection of Fraga gave him the first All-American honor of his career. It also marked the seventh a UNCP player has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-American team.
Fraga had a team high .392 batting average as well as a team high 21 stolen bases. He batted in 36 runs and scored 60 himself.
The Peach Belt Conference as a whole had eight players named to the All-American team.
Earlier in the month, Fraga and Edgerton were selected to the All-Southeast region team. Both received first team honors in that selection.
