Annual Summer Show-and-Sale: Our current exhibi is t he 2012 Summer Art Show and Sale. The Summer Show has been a regular highlight of our museum schedule for more than a decade. The Multimedia exhibit highlights artwork from various artists and media. All of the artists represented in the exhibit this year are Lumbee.
The 6th Annual American Indian Women of Proud Nations Conference will be September 19-20, 2012 on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Keynote speakers for the conference are Amy Locklear-Hertel (Lumbee/Coharie), Kim Pevia (Lumbee) and Rosemary White Shield (Anishinabe/Choctaw). Annual Native American Student Organization Fall Powwow will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012, in the University Center Annex Building. Doors open at 4:00 pm and Grand Entry will begin at 5:00 pm.
