Christopher
Hayes Kennedy, Lumbee
The
Museum of the Native American Resource Center is pleased to introduce
our first Featured Artist. Lumbee artist Chris Kennedy, has proven himself
an expert painter whose attention to detail and unique perspective are
astounding.
Inspired by the world around him, most importantly
family, religion and heritage, Kennedy continues to produce phenomenal
works of art that both captivate and amaze his audience. In his most recent
exhibit shown in the Native American Resource Center, "Crow Feather
Falling", Kennedy's ability to create hidden images within some
of his pieces, shows the magnitude of his talent and creativity. Kennedy
first began creating works in pencil and has over time found his true
passion working in oil.
Kennedy,
his wife Heather and their two children currently reside in Laurinburg,
NC.
