Terminal Degree Award application

PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR SUMMER TERM: MARCH 27, 2009

Thank you for your interest in the terminal degree program. This award is designed to help faculty pursue and complete a terminal degree in their field.

The minimum qualifications are as follows:

  • Served as full-time faculty at UNCP for at least two (2) full academic years
  • Accepted into an accredited terminal degree program
  • Committed to work at UNCP for two academic years after completing degree

Interested applicants can apply for funds to assist with the costs associated with pursuing a terminal degree, including travel directly related to the terminal degree, supplies, tuition and fees, books and other costs approved by the application review committee. Applicants just beginning their program or in the early phase of degree completion can receive up to $3000.00 per semester, three (3) times per year (Fall, Spring and Summer). Applicants in the dissertation phase can receive up to $5000.00 per year.
