Nikki dobell mccaslin
Ms. McCaslin is the trombone instructor at UNC Pembroke and the principal trombonist with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. She is an active freelance trombonist throught North Carolina and performs regularly with many of the major professional ensembles in Central and Eastern North Carolina. Originally from Minnesota, she holds a bachelors degree in trombone performance from Boston University and a masters degree from Arizona State University. Nikki has performed with the North Carolina Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Phoenix Symphony, the Albany (NY) Symphony, the Auckland (New Zealand) Philharmonic and several other professional ensembles. She has recorded with the North Carolina Symphony, for the Standard of Excellence music education project, and has toured with the New Zealand Chamber Orchestra. She lives in Greenville, NC with her husband and young son.
