Dr. elizaBeth Maisonpierre

Elizabeth Maisonpierre, pianist, is Professor of Music, and teaches piano, music theory, class piano, piano pedagogy, and music appreciation. She holds degrees from Ohio Wesleyan University (BM 1974), and The University of Maryland (MM 1976 and DMA 1983). In addition to her teaching, Dr. Maisonpierre performs frequently with her husband, Jonathan, as a piano duettist. She was a pianist in the North Carolina Visiting Artist Program from 1978 through 1981, and continues to perform as an accompanist to artists throughout the Southeast. Dr. Maisonpierre has been recognized twice as one of the University's Outstanding Teachers - first in 1995 and second in 2002. She resides in Laurinburg and serves as music director for Saint Luke United Methodist Church.
