2013 "SPIRIT OF THE CAROLINAS"
MARCHING BAND SCHEDULE

Drum Major Clinics: Semaj Yarn (former 2-time drum major) will hold several clinics for anyone who wishes to audition for “SotC” drum major for the 2013 season. These will be held on Tuesday, March 26 & Thursday, March 28 from 6:00pm-7:30pm in Moore Hall.
Continued workshops will be Tuesday, April 2 & Thursday, April 4 at the same times as above.

Drum Major tryouts will be held Friday, April 5 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

Colorguard and drumline (battery and front ensemble) auditions will be held on Saturday, April 6 from 9:00am-1:00pm.

August
Monday, 5 Band camp report day for student leadership, colorguard, & drumline

Wednesday, 7 Band camp report day for all remaining winds

Saturday, 10 All day band camp (9:00am-9:30pm)

Sunday, 11 Uniform fittings (10:00am-3:00pm) & sectional rehearsals as announced

Tuesday, 13 Band camp dismissal (mid-day, approx. 2:00pm)

Wednesday, 14 First day of classes – winds & percussion meet at Moore Hall 3:45pm for stand tune rehearsal; colorguard sectional on stand tune dances

*Once back to school, the marching band rehearses at the LRDA practice field
(next to Pembroke Place Apartments)
MWF 3:30 percussion & guard warm-up; 3:45 winds begin warm-up
ALL dismissed by 6:00pm

This is a required event, as part of your participation in marching band. Stipends do not go out until after this parade, so your attendance will affect the amount you receive!
