brass quintet
The UNCP Brass Quintet is a select group of brass players and one of the most active chamber ensembles in the region. The ensemble is a mix of faculty and students dedicated to bringing music for brass to the campus and beyond, providing a valuable opportunity for students to work together with faculty in performance. Mr. Aaron Vandermeer, Dr. Joanna Hersey, and Dr. Timothy Altman audition the members, choose the literature, organize the performances, rehearse the ensemble, and perform with the group. The ensemble performs all styles of music from the Beatles to Bach and Ewazen to Ellington.

The UNCP Brass Quintet will be performing at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts on Sunday, April 13, 2008. Please contact Dr. Altman for details on this or any of our upcoming performances.
