With more than 114,000 members, MENC: The National Association for Music Education is the world’s largest arts education association.
Through its many programs, activities, publications, and conferences, MENC
works to promote the value of music education, foster the best possible music education programs in our nation’s schools, and advance music education as a profession.
UNC Pembroke’s collegiate chapter of MENC is a growing organization with hopes to foster the growth of future music educators and create an atmosphere of professionalism and service in Moore Hall and throughout the campus and community. The chapter believes that college is the best time to begin preparing for a career. The organization offers professional development, leadership opportunities, and conferences that will set future music educators on the right path to career success.
When you join this national organization you will automatically become a
member of the state arts organization NCMEA: The North Carolina Music
Educators Association; you will also be granted access to hundreds of online
resources for music advocacy, further professional development opportunities, and much more.
