We are pleased to announce that this years 5th annual Percussion Ensemble Festival/Eastern North Carolina Day of Percussion will be held at UNCP on March 18th and 19th, 2011. The guest artist/clinicians for this year will be the Thomas Burritt (UT Austin), Derron Bell (drummer for the Raoming Soldiers) and Jon Weber (Michigan State University). The festival is open to any and all percussion ensembles ranging from elementary school to college. There is no charge for any of the events that occur during the festival.

This is a non-competitive festival. Each group is asked to prepare 1 or 2 percussion ensemble pieces that they will perform for everyone. After each performance Dr. Burritt will work with the ensemble to improve their percussion skills.
