uncp percussion ensemble festival

We are pleased to announce that this years 4th annual Percussion Ensemble Festival will be held at UNCP on March 19th and 20th, 2010. The guest artist/clinician for this year will be the Meehan/Perkins Duo. The festival is open to any and all percussion ensembles ranging from elementary school to college. There is no charge for any of the events that occur during the festival.
This is a non-competitive festival. Each group is asked to prepare 1 or 2 percussion ensemble pieces that they will perform for everyone. After each performance the Meehan/Perkins Duo will work with the ensemble to improve their percussion skills. Also during the day there will be a clinic presented by the Meehan/Perkins Duo.
If you and or your students are new to percussion ensemble you can also come as a non-performer and just soak in the knowledge during the day.
This event is co-sponsored by Innovative Percussion, Sabian, Ludwig/Musser, Pearl/Adams, Zildjian, Remo, Evans and Black Swamp Percussion.
If you are interested in participating contact Tracy Wiggins by email or at 910.522.5705. Performances are set-up on a first come, first served basis so get you info. to me now to participate.
