James R. Frederick is an assistant professor of economics in the School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He teaches a variety of economics courses, including health economics, international economics, and statistics. Before joining the faculty of the UNCP, Jim was a research statistician at the Michigan Cancer Foundation (now called the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute) from 1984 to 1988.
Dr. Frederick received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 1970, his M.A. in Economics from Wayne State University in 1973, and his Ph.D. in Economics from Wayne State University in 1983.
