admission requirements

TO APPLY:

The admissions process, for all students who wish to earn an MPA degree from UNC Pembroke, requires submission of the following documents:

  • Completed Application and $45.00 application fee
  • Three recommendation forms (PDF) from academic and professional references.
  • Official Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score report.
  • Two official copies of your transcript from every academic institution at which you have earned undergraduate or graduate credits. Even if an undergraduate institution has posted previous work as transfer credit, official transcripts from the institution at which you took the course(s) are required.
  • An essay detailing your professional experiences and your objectives in pursuing the MPA degree.
  • Personal interview with Program Director.

Visiting Students

The application process for students who are enrolled in a graduate program at another institution and wish to take courses at UNCP to transfer back to their degree-granting institution requires:

  • Completed Application and $45.00 application fee
  • A letter from your Dean or Program Director stating that you are in good-standing and authorized to enroll at UNC Pembroke to earn transfer credit. The letter should be directed to:
