Integration Student Work
www.uncp.edu/media_integration/
Offered for the first time in the spring 2002 semester, MI 380 "Introduction to Media Integration" is unprecedented at UNCP. The MI track is co-offered by three different academic departments and taught by faculty from those departments (Art, Music, and Mass Communications). Students in MI courses produce work in forms and content never before attempted at UNCP.
The UNCP Media Integration (MI) team has established, maintained, and upgraded three specialized digital studios and a central MI studio, all student focused and production driven. These studios, together with several satellite studios, form the nucleus of the Media Integration Center on this campus. They offer students the opportunity to work in numerous areas of digital studio: 2D and 3D graphics, image management, scanning, visualization, photography, proofing and archival printmaking, audio recording and editing, MIDI sequencing, videography and 3D modeling and animation, and television editing and production.
