Javascript

JavaScript can be defined as webpage source code that is interpreted by browsers to perform a particular task or function. Bookmarklets and favlets are created using JavaScript.

Bookmarklets or favlets, are tools created by a piece of JavaScript code to extend the searching capabilites of a web browser. Netscape and Firefox users refer to these tools as bookmarklets because of their Bookmarks functionality; Internet Explorer users refer to them as favlets for its Favorites functionality.

Add a bookmarklet or favlet to your preferred browser by right-clicking on the link and selecting either or "Bookmark this Link" or "Add to Favorites ..." Internet Explorer requires the link to be in the 'Links' folder before it will appear in the toolbar. For Netscape and Firefox, on may simply click and drag the bookmarklet into the browser's toolbar.
