instructional services

Instructional Services offers students, faculty, and staff a structured approach toward learning how to use the Library and how to make information-seeking efforts more efficient.

Through library instruction classes and hands-on exercises, the library user gains a better understanding of the sources and services available as well as the information that may be obtained. An electronic classroom is available for library instruction, so students may learn first-hand how to use online databases. Library instruction sessions may be scheduled in advance by faculty for their classes, by small groups of users needing further assistance, or by individuals who want specialized instruction.
