unc borrowing privileges

UNCP students, faculty, and staff may borrow materials by visiting the other 15 UNC libraries, with either a current UNCP BravesOne Card or a valid NC photo identification. A Mary Livermore Library account must be obtained before library privileges are extended at the lending library.

Loan periods, renewal permissions, and fines for items borrowed are determined by the lending institution.

Coastal Library Consortium

The Coastal Library Consortium is a collective library catalog shared between UNCP, Fayetteville State University, and UNC Wilmington. By sharing a catalog, patrons at any of the three institutions may request materials found in BraveCat simply by clicking on the Hold Item button, rather than having to request the material through the Document Delivery system.

Each library's individual policies govern the check out and renewal periods. Items borrowed from FSU and UNCW circulate for 28 days. FSU and UNCW do not allow extended check out periods by faculty, staff, and graduate students Renewals may be requested by e-mailing illiad@uncp.edu or calling 910.521.6516 during Document Delivery Office hours. Renewals must be approved by the lending library and should be requested at least 1 day before the item is due. Due dates can be monitored from your library account.

FSU and UNCW automatically attach a lost book fee to overdue records, meaning that the day the item is overdue a bill is issued for replacement.  When the material is checked in, the lost book fee is deleted from your library account.
