PARENTS WEEKEND

OCTOBER 7-8, 2011

This fall will see UNCP combine Homecoming and Parents’ Weekend in to an unprecedented community event. The weekend will give everyone – students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and community - the opportunity to purposefully connect with the University.  The combined Homecoming and Parents’ Weekend is sure to be a memorable experience for your entire family and will provide you with a sample of the opportunities your son or daughter has been experiencing on the UNCP campus.

The weekend’s festivities begin on Friday night with a concert by Kool and the Gang (tickets required) at the Givens Performing Arts Center. Saturday morning will include a variety of opportunities to connect with the people, and see the places, that are important to UNCP students.  Lunch will take place in the family friendly tailgate area before taking in UNCP Football’s game against Tusculum College at 2 pm (tickets required). The evening activities include the Homecoming tradition of our NPHC step show followed by a comedy event sponsored by the student-led Association of Campus Entertainment.

Parents Weekend events are free except for the following events requiring tickets:
