REG/POL ##: Center for International Programs Travel Agreement Standard Code of Conduct Expected of all Participants

 

1.    OVERVIEW
           

1.1 - All participants should conduct themselves in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of themselves as well as other passengers/trip participants.  This is best accomplished by cooperating with and following the directions of the International Program Staff and/or designated chaperones. All participants must be in full agreement with and have a complete understanding of the following standards of conduct before they will be allowed to travel.

 

1.1.1 - I understand that neither The University of North Carolina at Pembroke nor any of its agents will be responsible for loss of property, injury or life while I am traveling.  I also understand that I must carry medical insurance, including specific coverage for medical evacuation and repatriation to obtain appropriate medical care.

 

1.1.2 – I understand that if I cancel or terminate any planned travel, I am responsible for payment of all fees for which I am obligated.   

 

1.1.3 – I understand that I must follow the planned itinerary of the scheduled trip.  I understand that I cannot extend my stay and that I must return with the group as planned. 
                                   
1.1.4 – Possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs during travel are strictly prohibited.  

 

1.1.5 – Possession of or use of tobacco products on the vehicle proved by the Center for International Programs is strictly prohibited. 

 

1.1.6 – All participants are required to give a verbal and written commitment to abide by all directions, requests, and safety requirements given by International Program staff and/or designated chaperones.   

 

1.1.7 – In recognition of the Honor Code of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, I certify that the information that I have provided in this application and in the attachments is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
