NEW INSTITUTIONAL COLLABORATION BETWEEN UNCP and THE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE, VNU-HCM, VIETNAM

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) and National University of Science at Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam (HCMUS) have entered into a new institutional collaboration agreement to educate global professionals. Under the agreement, UNCP and HCMUS will initiate 1+2+1 and 2+2 dual degree undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Information Technology Management, with future expansion to other majors, such as Business. A delegation from UNCP visited HCMUS July 1-3, 2008 for a campus visit and discussed the program details with HCMUS administrative and academic officials.

Both universities will acknowledge certain coursework completed at the partner university and transfer the credit. The articulation plans developed with joint efforts from both sides will allow students to complete undergraduate programs in their disciplines at two universities.
