Welcome

The major responsibility of International Student and Scholar Services is to assist each international student, visiting scholar, and/or delegate to our campus.

Whether you have decided to join UNC Pembroke's diverse student population, will be teaching for a semester or a year, or will only be here for a brief site visit, International Student and Scholar Services will assist you with every step of the way.

As an international guest you bring not only your individual spark to this campus, but your native culture as well. It is the global perspective you bring with you that will help connect this campus with the international scene, so your presence here is welcomed and exciting.

Mission

Our mission is to lend a helping hand to all internationals that choose to study at or visit UNC Pembroke and to ensure your stay is worthwhile and memorable. 

For our international students, it is our goal is to assist each of you while you transition to campus life at UNCP and become an important part of the student population and community.

For our international scholars, it is our goal to assist you with the necessary tools to bring your teaching talents and international influence to the UNCP campus and the local community.

For our visiting guests, our goal is to provide you with a pleasant and enlightening experience of what UNCP has to offer and those who make up the campus community.  

We will continuously update this webpage with helpful information that is both accurate and current. To the right are links to pages that are specific to the needs of our varying student, scholar, and visitor categories and links to other helpful activities and programs that International Student and Scholar Services is involved in developing.
