Day Trip to Lake Waccamaw
On Monday the 3rd of September (Labor Day) several students traveled to Lake Waccamaw, the largest lake in NC, for a day of fun in the sun.
Left to right (back row) Meng Yang "Simon"(China), Maren Reichel (Germany), Kristian Storz (Germany), Petra Hagstrom (Sweden), Lefke Boysen (Germany), Bernd Hipp (Germany), Markus Ergenzinger (Germany) and Vadim Zyubanov (Russia). Jianbo Su "David" (China), Yun Lei "Allen" (China), Yuan Wei "Iris" (China) and Yue Zhao "Jolie" (China).

Cruising on the boat was gave the students the chance to see the whole lake.

Even with the wind and the waves we braved the water to take a short trip on the lake.

They look ready to try their hand with a canoe.

Unfortunately they were not able to stay in the canoe. Guys! I think the water is supposed to be on the outside of the boat and you are meant to be in it.

They paused to take a photos before attempting to water ski.

They better hold on tight.
Markus looks thrilled to be gilding over the water.

After swimming, boating, and fishing the hammock looked like the perfect place for a nap. I hope they don't fall in though.
Many of the students had never tried fishing before. I hope they are lucky as they look for ambitious.

Although catching a fish was the goal, I think this little one was a disappointment.

Everyone posed for one more photo before we headed home after a day of fun in the sun.
