Sino-American 1+2+1 Dual Degree Program  

The Sino-American 1+2+1 Dual Degree Program, organized and administrated by (Links open in new windows) CCIEE and AASCU, is a new form of international educational cooperation with two-way student and faculty exchanges between Chinese and American universities. CCIEE and AASCU select qualified public universities to participate in the program. A total of 100 universities have participated in this program by 2009. UNCP joined a coalition of five U.S. and 32 Chinese universities to offer dual-degree program for Chinese students in March 2005.

 

Since 2005, UNCP has received 85 students from 18 partner universities in China. UNCP's first cohort of (New window) six students graduated June the 24th, 2008 in Kunming, Yunnan, China. Second cohort of seven students graduated June 23rd, 2009 in Weihai, Shandong, China.  In the summer of 2010, 12 students graduated and awarded degrees in the Great Hall of People in Beijing, China. As of fall 2010, 18 students have returned to their home universities to finish the program of their senior years.

 

At UNCP, CCIEE students not only get a high-quality education with UNCP's well-known "personal touch," but also have the opportunity to experience American life, and to participate in traditional Chinese celebrations, and many cultural - and fun - activities organized by the International Programs office.
