Rules: All games will be played under the National Federation of College rules.

1. Official Collegiate Scholastic rules with following modifications:

Timing: 1. Clock will run continuosly stopping only for the last two minutes of each half. It will also stop by referee for unusual delays or during charged time-out.

Tie Game: 1. Extra period of 4 minute duration. Clock operates according to regular rules.

Fouls: After the 7th foul-one and one, after 10th foul-two shots, Technical fouls-two shots and the ball. Flagrant fouls are two shots and ball. Players are out after 5 fouls. Two technical fouls on a player are automatic disqualification from that game and will miss the next game. If the same person gets two technicals in another game, he will then miss two games, and if it happens again for that same person he will be suspended for the remainder of the season. Four technicals in a game results in an automatic forfeit.

Game: Two 20 minute halves. Halftime will be 5 minutes. Overtime is 4 minutes. No stalling will be tolerated. If you stall the referee will impose a shot clock at his discretion. The first game and only the first game has a grace period of 10 minutes to start. After that the next teams on the schedule must be their prior to game time or it will be a forfeit.

Time-outs: Each team allowed 2 fulls time-outs per half for the game. If game goes into overtime one additional timeout per team. If it goes into another OT no more extra timeouts.

Equipment:The teams must have the same color jerseys on with numbers on them. If a team doesn't supply their own jerseys, I will supply that team with a set of jerseys. No T-Shirts with numbers on them will be tolerated. I will also supply the basketball for the games. No basketballs will be supplied for warmups.

Scorecard: Must be completed by the team captain at least 5 minutes before game time. I will supply the scorekeepers and scoreboard operators. If need be I might have a team to get their own scorekeeper.

Referees: I will be getting regular referees who call high school ball, middle school and recreation ball. These referees will not tolerate any profanity towards them, an opposing team player or the same team player. Any team slapping the backboard on a layup attempt or while dunking will be assessed a technical.

Substitutions: You can only substitute on dead balls. If you just come out on the court and sub before an official tells you to enter it will be a technical.

Player Participation: "Once a player has played in one game of intramurals with a team he may not play with any other intramural team." Any varsity athlete who practiced with the team or played in any contests will not be allowed to play, "No jewelry period will be allowed on the basketball court."

All participants must have a current student ID with them in order to play.

" If any team member abuses any officials or uses profanity, he or she will be ejected from the game. Any fights will also result in a one game suspension. The intramural director or his assistant will let anyone know if they have are required to miss more than one game. If me or my assistant deems it necessary, we can make it more than a one game suspension. A repeated offense will automatically result in suspension for the remainder of the season.
