After a planning process of almost 1 ½ years, The University of North Carolina at Pembroke strategic plan was approved by the Board of Trustees on November 16, 2012. As we move into the implementation period, the Strategic Resource & Planning Council (SPARC) will continue to provide oversight while university Vice Chancellors have been charged with accomplishing the plan’s objectives. SPARC encourages departments and units within the University to develop their own strategic plans and align those with the larger university one.  Information to assist in these efforts is available from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

SPARC will review the plan in 2016 to determine if revisions are needed. If no revisions are needed at that time, the strategic planning process will begin again in 2019 in preparation for a new UNCP strategic plan to be approved in 2020.
